Being visible means to be out, and to put yourself in the public eye. Presenting your real self to friends, to your community, and to the world.

On social media, others around the world can possibly see some part of themselves in you, some part of your face, something about they way you dress, or a way you act and talk–some part they only know to hide.  Find others helps themselves to feel normal.

Being visible in real life shows the public that different people DO exist in the world, and they are a functioning part of any community.

By being visible we are moving towards bringing an end to discrimination, hatred, and shame that some people live through on a daily basis.  For some to be out means being disowned, abused, or killed.  No one should have to be subjected to such treatment.

I choose to be visible for all of these reasons, and many others.

I wish to better understand how to better serve my community—LGBTQI Athletes and Allies—I have created a survey regarding Sex, Gender, and Inclusivity, and am looking for all types of athletes to participate.

I ask everyone to take a few minutes and answer some questions, and share it with other athletes and fitness groups.  The survey will be up indefinitely.  All results are kept confidential.
